Of paramount importance is the practice of the highest safety levels of any freedive – training, adventure, competition and spearfishing.

If you are new to freediving, or want to advance your skills, please consider exploring and engaging directly with any of the following organizations listed below. These organizations, and others, have well researched and formally structured freediving instruction programs. Most of these organizations have certified instructors that are located around the world. So, you can either receive instruction state-side or at some exotic location.

To be an official member of the U.S. Freediving Federation, and to be eligible to compete in any CMAS competition worldwide, it is minimally required to have successfully completed a recognized instruction program and have become certified. We are neutral towards the certifying organizations, so please take the time to investigate to decide which you feel is best for you.

Once you have become officially certified, we invite you to join the U.S. Freediving Federation so that you can receive a wide range of benefits to support your passion.  If you are interested in becoming a member, contact us.
